During last year's Erasmus Recruitment Days, I came in touch with a recruiter from BDO. I had already finished my Bachelors in Business Administration and she asked me what I was going to do afterwards. I was looking for a working student position that I could combine with my Masters in Marketing Management. BDO offered me a working student position in the Campus Recruitment team. Since June, I have been working there and I really enjoy my job. I get a lot of responsibilities regarding recruitment events and I get to talk to a lot of students who are looking for an internship, working student position or a starters function at BDO. I really like the culture and the ambiance at the BDO offices. My colleagues are all very friendly and help me out with any questions I might have. I have a buddy who I have a meeting with every two weeks where we talk about my personal development. I can easily combine my job with my studies and the hours are pretty flexible. I would really recommend participating in the Days, since it is a very informal, low-key way to get to know different companies.

Last year, I attended the Erasmus Recruitment Days, where I participated in a training session hosted by De Kleine Consultant. I connected with one of their members on LinkedIn, and they invited me for coffee to share more about the organisation. Intrigued by the opportunity to gain real consulting experience in a student-driven environment, I decided to apply—and I’m so glad I did! Over the past year, I’ve developed valuable consulting and presentation skills, balanced my studies, and even had the chance to connect with large consulting firms through my role. It’s been a perfect stepping stone toward a professional career. I highly encourage everyone to take full advantage of the Erasmus Recruitment Days—you never know where it might lead!

In 2023, I attended a workshop organized by TotalEnergies at the Erasmus Recruitment Days. Engaging with TotalEnergies employees at both the workshop and a subsequent Inhouse Day, I understood that TotalEnergies is a key player in the energy transition – an excellent place to apply my MSc Economics of Sustainability knowledge. TotalEnergies leads in transitioning towards a sustainable energy mix while ensuring energy availability and affordability. I had the opportunity to start in the TotalEnergies Young Graduate Program. Working in such an environment, interacting with energy experts, is a wonderful experience rooted in the introduction provided by the Erasmus Recruitment Days. Last summer, I discovered the perfect opportunity for a working student position through the Erasmus Recruitment platform. After applying via the website, I secured a role that perfectly aligns with my studies. The process was straightforward, and I’m now gaining valuable experience while continuing my studies.

During Erasmus Recruitment Days, I attended a workshop and a pub quiz organized by Dow Chemical Company. After the Erasmus Recruitment Days, I decided to ask one of the finance specialists for a coffee chat to get to know more about the organization of the company and what is expected of interns. Thanks to the ERD, I managed to find the right fit for my summer internship. The internship itself was a wonderful experience. At the ERD, there is truly something for everybody, so I highly recommend attending!
